Anyone can finally control their money, with no one dictating how much you can own or spend and no one charging unfair prices for international transactions that take forever to process. No one is telling Africa where it belongs in the global economy.
On top of all this, Bitcoin has given rise to a whole new industry of cryptocurrency exchanges and startups, creating jobs and stimulating economic activity on a global scale. As the technology continues to grow in popularity and usage, it is clear that Bitcoin is having an ever-increasing effect on the financial world.
Sadly, most Africans haven’t heard about Bitcoin, and we are putting an end to this! We have created a learning section on our website to help Africans find Bitcoin educational resources. More details are below:

Time and chance happen to everyone and Africa may never know the power and control we can wield over our future unless every African, regardless of language, age, or gender, is given an equal chance to know about Bitcoin! So we have put together a learn section on our website to help Africans find free Bitcoin learning resources. Please give us feedback on how we can improve them.
1. “Why Bitcoin Only?” Are you wondering why we are so particular about Bitcoin? Here is a detailed explanation of why we believe in Bitcoin and Bitcoin only.
2. Free Bitcoin Course: We want to teach Africa about Bitcoin! We want Africa to achieve financial freedom. To do this, we have written a non-technical 21-day Bitcoin for Beginners course and will reward anyone who finishes and passes the course with 10 000 Sats in total! 3. African Language Resources: Only 237 million people in Africa speak English; to help with Bitcoin education for the rest of Africa who don’t understand English, we have provided a list of Bitcoin educational resources available in other African languages. Click here to see the page.

1. Nigeria is Considering a Regulatory Framework for Stablecoins, Reveals the Latest Central Bank of Nigeria Report
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will closely monitor developments in blockchain technology and collaborate with other parties to identify ways to track and report on the use of blockchain solutions in other nations. Additionally, they will discuss potential partnerships with other central banks to research and implement central bank digital currency solutions. Click here to read more.
2. The Africa Free Routing Lightning Node continues to grow, with 148 channels and a capacity of more than 8 BTC

3. Somalia to Fight Inflation and Counterfeiters With New Banknotes
The Somalian Central Bank aims to tackle inflation and counterfeit currency by introducing new shilling banknotes. Ali Yasin Wardheere, the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, said they hope to have completed swapping out old, high-value bills for the new notes by 2024. Click here to read more.
4. Bitcoin for Fairness Launches First Lightning Node in Namibia
We seem not to be the only ones bent on lighting up Africa with lightning nodes! Anita Posch, the founder of Bitcoin for fairness announced that they have a lightning node running on ground in Namibia. Click here to see tweet.
A lot of new Bitcoin awareness communities are springing up in Africa, these communities are focused on spreading knowledge about Bitcoin and its potential to have a positive impact on the African continent. As more people learn about Bitcoin’s potential for financial inclusion and its ability to democratize global financial systems, the likelihood of Bitcoin becoming the world’s most sought-after digital currency increases. One of the most potent Bitcoin awareness tools is Bitcoin meetups! and here are Bitcoin meetups we are excited about:
1. The Bitcoin meetup in Kenya
Satoshi Journal Kenya is organising a Bitcoin meetup in Kenya, set to hold in Nairobi on the 27th of January. The meetup is designed for small and medium-size business owners and is themed around how Bitcoin could improve Businesses in Kenya. Click here to see more.
