Hello Friend,
We just turned 3 — and wow, what a journey it’s been.
Three years ago, we set out with a bold mission: to help Africans discover freedom through Bitcoin. Today, that mission is alive in every course completed, every Bootcamp hosted, every sat saved, and every line of code written. And none of it would be possible without you.

In three years, we’ve gone from an idea to a thriving community reshaping the Bitcoin story on the continent.
Together, we’ve:
Educated thousands with our Bitcoin for Beginners course.
Trained more than 150 developers in Lightning at bootcamps across Africa.
Written ad published Africa’s first Bitcoin Book.
Built tools like The Bitcoiner Test and Africa Free Routing.
Mapped out the ecosystem with the African Bitcoin Ecosystem infographic.
👑 Recognized 21 of the most impactful African Bitcoiners for 3 consecutive years.

🤝 Partnered with visionaries like Trezor Academy, Btrust, HRF, OpenSats, and more.
Each win is proof of what’s possible when African minds and Bitcoin meet. This community is not just growing, it’s leading.
Check out what we have built in just three years.

We’re excited to announce our next stop on the road to building Africa’s future: Benin!
From June 24th to 28th, we’re hosting the Cotonou Lightning Developer Bootcamp, a week-long journey into the world of Bitcoin and Lightning development, powered by Btrust and sponsored by Tether, African Bitcoiners, Opensats and Plan B Network.
Over five intensive days, selected participants will gain a solid understanding of Bitcoin and the Lightning Network, set up and manage their own nodes, and explore application development using tools like Core Lightning, Polar, and LND.
They’ll work directly with testnets, terminal commands, and open-source workflows, all while learning how to contribute meaningfully to real-world Bitcoin projects. The goal is to empower African builders with the skills and tools needed to innovate on the Lightning Network.
