We’re proud to announce that Btrust has partnered with African Bitcoiners through our subsidiary Africa Free Routing to launch five Bitcoin Lightning-focused developer bootcamps across Africa.
The goal is simple but powerful: onboard more non-Bitcoin developers into Bitcoin development, while building Africa-focused Lightning infrastructure that meets the unique needs of our communities.
Through these bootcamps, we’ll equip talented developers across the continent with the technical skills, mentorship, and

resources they need to begin contributing to Bitcoin’s open-source future.
Graduates will also be connected with long-term mentorship programs like Btrust Builders to continue growing and contributing after the bootcamps.
This collaboration reflects the growing global recognition of Africa’s role in Bitcoin’s future and it’s a big step toward building a truly decentralized, global Bitcoin ecosystem.
