Something new is happening across Africa.
In quiet corners, from school classrooms in Zimbabwe to recycling centers in Kenya — people are using Bitcoin in ways that matter. Not just buying or selling, but building. Teaching. Saving. Creating tools their communities actually need.
We just updated the Bitcoin in Africa Infographic, and it features 15 new projects we’ve never seen before. That’s 15 new stories. 15 new sparks. 15 new reasons to believe that Bitcoin in Africa isn’t a trend — it’s a movement becoming deeper, wider, and more rooted.
That matters. Because it’s not just the same familiar faces doing the work. It’s new people from cities, towns, and even rural areas starting to explore how Bitcoin can solve problems in their own communities.
Some of these new projects are focusing on education, like Zivo

Labs in Zimbabwe, who are introducing Bitcoin to children through books. Others are working on financial inclusion, like the Women of Satoshi Cooperative in Malawi, helping teen mothers save and grow income in sats. Some are cleaning up their environment and getting paid in Bitcoin, like EcoBitz in Kenya.
Head over to our website and discover the pioneers, the progress, and the potential that define Bitcoin in Africa today.
