Due to the incessant fraudulent sign-ups we’ve been receiving, we regret to inform you that the 10,000 sat reward on our Bitcoin for Beginners Course has been discontinued. We understand that this news may come as a disappointment to our loyal users who have genuinely enrolled in the course to improve their knowledge and understanding of Bitcoin. However, we had to make this tough decision to protect the integrity and value of our educational resources. 2. Block partners with African crypto exchange Yellow Card
Block and Yellow Card have partnered to facilitate cross-border payments between 16 countries in Africa, using stablecoins and Bitcoin to reduce fees. Block has invested in Yellow Card, leading a funding round for Gridless, and is developing a decentralized web platform and a decentralized Bitcoin trading exchange. Read more.
3. Zebedee Partnership With Bitnob Sees African Gamers Rewarded With Bitcoin
Bitcoin is being adopted by users all over the world, with Africa and Central America being two of the most promising regions for growth. In Africa, nearly 50% of residents are unbanked, making bitcoin a more stable store of value. Lightning Network’s low-bandwidth, low-fee BTC payment platform is a gamechanger for Africa, making it more accessible and affordable. The Lightning Network enables users to send and receive bitcoin payments quickly and cheaply, even with low internet connections. Mobile network operating data shows mobile money transactions in Africa soared 39% to $700 billion in 2021. Read more.
4. Bitcoin is the Most Popular Coin in Africa in Q1 2023
In the first quarter of 2023, there was little difference in the level of interest shown in different sectors and niches of cryptocurrency across various regions. Bitcoin (BTC) was the most viewed cryptocurrency across all regions, benefitting from the banking crisis that followed the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank. Fear and uncertainty caused people to withdraw from smaller cap altcoins and move towards larger, safer assets such as BTC and ETH. Read More.
