Where to spend Bitcoin in Africa

Hello African Bitcoiner,

Bitcoin in Africa is like a plane taking off with two wings: the wing of education, on which we educate Africans about Bitcoin and the wing of adoption, on which educated Africans now use and accept Bitcoin as a means of payment. We can’t overlook one for the other and we can’t deem one more important than the other. In fact, Bitcoin adoption is directly proportional to the quality of Bitcoin education work done in Africa.

So fellow African Bitcoiners, it’s not enough to educate about the wonders of Bitcoin; at the end of the day, what really shows that we have done a great job of educating Africans about Bitcoin is acceptance: Bitcoin acceptance in businesses, in our local markets and in our streets.

So we are recording every new adoption, every milestone and all progress on our journey towards continent-wide adoption. We are celebrating every store, business and service provider that adopts Bitcoin on our Bitcoiners map page and our Bitcoin Lightning E-commerce page. More details below!

Let’s go 📥

We want to record Bitcoin adoption in Africa, partly so that we can all appreciate our progress toward Bitcoin adoption, but also so that we can challenge ourselves based on clear facts to fight harder for the one thing we all desire: Bitcoin adoption in Africa. Please give us feedback on how we can improve them.
